Re-animated an old laptop September 23, 2008 This DDR fit my Compaq nc6000 just fine. My laptop showed a very noticeable improvement.
Too bad it was a work computer...
Not Compatible with Dell Inspiron 5100 August 1, 2008 I ordered this item to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 5100. This was recommended by the PNY configurator on their website. The first set I received didn't work.
After contact with PNY, they stated I needed to upgrade my BIOS, so I did that and still neither chip works. I exchanged the RAM and received new PNY sticks of RAM and neither of them worked either.
I am returning this for a refund / store credit.
Helps speed an aging machine July 22, 2008 A pair of these helped bring my Sony Vaio almost up to speed - there's only so much you can do when a laptop is 5 year old. Now I can multi-task again.
Did not even boot July 16, 2008 Installed a pair of these into a Dell Inspiron 5100. The system did not boot; in fact, it did not even get to the POST. The PNY site says that this is compatible with this box, but I guess not.
Laptop Memory June 24, 2008 They had what I needed and at a good price. Shipping was timely. Product worked. What more is there to say!
