 Don't Waste Your Money November 25, 2008
Poorly designed. The item is a flash drive in a rubber sleeve. USB broke solder points under minimal use. I had to hyper extend the drive to make and keep connection long enough to retrieve data. Thankfully it wasn't full.

Yep, it's a flash drive. Liked it so much I bought another one. Looks cool and has pretty good I/O speeds. Coated with a grippy colorful rubber exterior and has a BRIGHT orange activity light. The only downside is the chain that holds the cap holder. It opens easily. I made the mistake of putting the drive on my keyring and almost lost the drive when the chain broke.

We purchased three of these USB flash drives, which had been recommended to us as being extremely sturdy.
A few days after the Amazon "return window" closed--and after a maximum of ten insertions and removals from the USB slot---one of the drives left its usb "plug" in the slot when we tried to remove the flash drive. The USB plug had to be removed from the computer's USB slot with pliers since not enough was sticking out to grab with fingers. And, due to Amazon's "fantastic" return policy, we can't return the drive. Handy for Amazon, eh?
If you are looking for a trouble-free, sturdy USB flash drive, well, you may want to keep looking---these don't seem to qualify. When one out of three items purchased fails after ten uses, it is not my idea of a good-quality product.
This is the LAST time I purchase anything like this from Amazon. At least, until they change their return policy. I guess I'll see if the manufacturer is any better at customer service (than Amazon).

Received the flash drive on time and it performed as advertised. It is physically durable and performs very well.
Issue: The drive is substantially thicker than it appears. For those with systems that have the USB ports stacked one above each other you will find that using both ports when using this flash will be a tight fit. I typically plug my external HD (standard USB cable plug) in the bottom port and this drive in the top. The two items sit snug against each other. If you pull on the flash drive to remove it, due to the coating and the snug fit it will pull out the other connection with it.
Other than this I recommend this product to anyone looking for a good physically durable flash drive.
