 It's ok, but not great November 23, 2008
I ordered this about a year ago (in November 2007), and I was going through my old orders today and decided to come back and review it. The product may have changed; the picture looks cosmetically different that what I got; and when I ordered it, it was only about $30, it now lists almost $60.
I gave it three stars since I'm still using the adapter a year later. It mostly works, although within a month or so it was starting to be picky and shorting. Unlike my Dell adapter (that came with the laptop) with this one I have to hold the cord at an angle and sort of twist to get it to work. I expected it to get worse and worse until the adapter no longer functioned, but it hasn't. As long as I lay the cord at an angle and twist, it works.
So not great, but works for me.

 Pathetic Product February 15, 2008
I purchased this AC adapter for the same reason I purchased the prior two I've owned in the three years I've owned my current laptop computer; those two from different vendors. The black wire casing on the three prong end of the wire breaks and exposes the bare wires underneathe. I thought this one would not succumb to the same problem. But in less than one month from purchase it did. We can send people to the moon but we can't make an electrical wire that stays intact for a reasonable period of time!
I would not recommend this product as it feels "cheaper" than the other two I've owned plus it suffered from the same problem alot faster than the others. It's junk.

Ideally, of course, we all want our purchases to be entirely trouble free. But all of us who have made a number of online purchases are aware that there will be occasional problems. And it is a different test of the vendor as to how they deal with the problem.
I found this vendor to be very responsive and my problem was resolved speedily.
