This is my all time favorite thing!! I love the fact that I don't have to haul a bunch of books on vacation. It is all right here in my Kindle. And it fits into my purse, so I can take it everywhere. Plus the ease of purchasing a book in about 3-5 seconds. Unbelievable. Love, Love, Love it!!

Can't Put It Down December 1, 2008
I bought this to take on vacation 3 weeks ago and have not regretted this decesion at all. I read more than the average persona dn this is even making it easier for me to read more. I often have 2 or 3 books going at a time. A novel, self improvement and then just something you can read a chapter at a time. I find it easy to use and love the abilaty to get samlples. It does take some self training to stop advancing the page when you don't want to but the other features far out weigh this problem. I really enjoy the highlight and page book mark features so you can go back and pick out passages that were important and I can use at work. What a great gift for anyone who loves to read. Not having to go to the book store and the reduction in price also means you get about 2 for 1 for every book you purchase.
Kindle December 1, 2008
Bought the Kindle for my Husband for Christmas who is an avid reader. After watching the Oprah show, I thought this would be a great earthly friendly economical gift! Haven't even opened the box yet, it's wrapped up and under the tree. I'm so excited to give it to him! My question is, can I buy books, newspapers, magazines now without having opened it so that when he does, there is already some reading material on there? Or do I need some kind of code number that might be inside the box? Thanks for you help and support.

I was so excited to get my Kindle! I actually ordered 3 of them (gave 2 away as gifts). I love it! The only thing that I think could be an improvement would be if the screen had an option to "illuminate"...that way you could read in the dark. I've told so many people about it! It's so easy to use and believe me...I'm not the most "tech savy".
