Designed to fit your on-the-go lifestyle, it comes with a loop top bottle cap, which can be secured via hook or caribiner clip to a backpack or daypack. Sigg bottles are virtually unbreakable and are constructed with no seams, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-proof performance. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Küng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water? A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating. Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating? A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable. Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks? A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top. Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe? A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended. Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

sigg water bottle August 31, 2008 Bought the .6 liter Sigg stainless steel water bottle in the Sunray turqoise design with the loop screw cap. Love the bottle, keeps water tasting great. The .6 liter is the perfect size for my need. I wish it came with the sport top also. Screwing the cap on and off is a bit of a pain. I am completely satisfied with the bottle and will probably purchase more when they are more abundantly available in the designs I like.
Super light - beautiful designs - poor bottle top August 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have Spotted Pride design - which is amazing
***Pros*** 1) Deceptively light - I don't think this bottle is any heavier than a plastic bottle.
2) Durable - it has survived being dropped, clanging against the side of a bag, and shoved in all sorts of places without damage to the design - it has under hard use developed a very, very small dent
3) Healthy - no BPA means yay! Well... you get the picture. It's fairly environmentally conscious - and recyclable
<<>> 1) Opening is very small - cubed ice will not fit
2) Heats up fast
3) Bottle top is beyond abysmal - I love attaching a carabiner to it, but the love ends there. After about a month, mine started leaking if it gets tipped and I have been unsuccessful of finding a replacement locally. They used to be carried at several sporting good stores, but sadly not so frequently around here any more (sigh)
Sigg water bottle August 16, 2008 This water bottle is remarkably light weight. It keeps water cooler for longer and cools faster than water in a plastic bottle. However, I have found that after the cool water warms up, after sitting for a few hours, it starts to taste foul. I'm not sure why but it sort of defeats the purpose of using it on a long hike or keeping it with you all day. If you are able to clean it out frequently then the product is fantastic. Otherwise it's just a can of funky water.
Not too functional August 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wish I'd paid more attention to the reviewer who warned that the bottle opening was too small to fit an ice cube in it, as I don't usually have time to chill my water . I've had it 2 mos and the vinyl covering is already peeling off-- this may bother some. I'm not sure if aluminum is the most ideal material anyway for a bottle --wasn't there some controversy with aluminum a few years ago? The instructions do warn not to use with acidic liquids.I'm back to using my wide mouthed freebie plastic bottle. My opinion--it is not worth the money and If you can find a generic one cheaper-go for it.
Lovely bottle-too many restrictions July 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this bottle as a safe and attractive alternative to plastic. I was surprised by all the "don'ts". As for the do not use boiling water or freeze-that makes sense but the "only use ready to drink" item got to me. I use a lot of individual Crystal Light type mixes and I cannot use them in this bottle. Very pricey for what it can deliver.
