DVD not much help November 17, 2008 I like the k-bell....but the dvd was pretty worthless...not what I was hoping for....live and learn.
Pleased September 25, 2008 I first saw the Kettlebell workout in my Fitness magazine. I was eager to try it! I received my order yesterday & tried it this morning. I was dissapointed with the DVD. I thought it was going to be an actual workout. It is not. It is just a description of how to do each exercise. I ordered the 3 workout DVD's today. I wish I would have ordered them the first time. They should have been more specific with the description of the DVD. It is going to be a nice break from the boring treadmill! I am looking forward to a toned & strong body from my Kettlebell! :)
Wife loves it!! A++ September 2, 2008 I have been doing crossfit and kettlebells for over a year, and they are the best....That being said, my wife wanted to try them and she lives this...
great way to start kettlebells July 26, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have lifted weights for several years; but a recent article in FITNESS magazine made me curious to try kettlebells. Not knowing anything about them, I went to Amazon and ordered the 10# with dvd,and the booklet. I am now using a 15# kettlebell, on my own. I highly recommend the GoFit kettlebell & dvd. You really need to learn the moves and correct form, but kettlebells are one heck of a workout. I dont use resistance bands, or dumbbells much anymore. I am 56, am losing body fat, and overall I feel better and stronger in my back and legs than I have in a long time. These GoFit 'kits' are well worth the money. Go for it!
Highly recommend the 10 lb kettlebell!!!! June 26, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure if I should start with the 10 lb or go with the 15 lb. I'm glad I started with the 10 lb. I'm 39. I do not have alot of experience with free weights. I use my treadmill 2-3 times a week & try to do my pilates when I can. The 10 lb for me is the perfect weight. I couldn't imagine being able to do some of the moves, especially the ones where you lift it above your head with one hand using the 15 pounder. Any heavier & you risk hurting yourself. Some websites suggest most woman can start with a 8 kg/ 17.9 lbs. but to me that's way too heavy. I saw another site where an experienced kettlebell instructor, about my size / 130 lbs. was only using a 12lb. Keep in mind when choosing one that alot of the moves involve lifting it over your head with one hand!! Unless you only plan on using it for squats, or have alot of experience with weights, I highly recommend starting with the 10. It's a great workout!!!
