I was disappointed with this item and returned it to the manufacturer.
First, it was too short. The "D" rings that connect the chain to the leather rested on my hip bones (I have a 32" waist).
Second, the chain was too short. When I put a standard 45 pound plate on the chain, the plate was positioned in an uncomfortable position (I don't have to elaborate on this one, fellas).
Third, the chain connected with a locking carabineer-type connector that would fall off. Not a major problem, just very inconvenient to reach down and pick it up as you are juggling plates on the chain with the other hand.
Finally, as the belt bends around your back, the stitching that holds the separate pieces of leather together pulls away from the leather. It doesn't look too reassuring that it will last long before loosening up and fraying.

This item is great I was just reviewing APT's website they support pro body builders such as Lee Priest and Ronnie Coleman. The belt is made of heavy duty leather it is lightweight, and not to heavy or awkward.
