Amazon.com Product Description Adventure and exploration await when your child is in the driver's seat of a Fisher Price Power Wheels vehicle! The Fisher Price Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane is a battery-operated ride-on vehicle that your child can really drive. Your child will gain a real sense of independence playing "grown up" driving a "real" car, and he or she can have great fun practicing coordination skills by steering, stopping, and driving in reverse!
The Jeep Hurricane can off-road into areas that other cars can't handle. View larger. | Just Like a Real Jeep! Designed for children ages three to about six (65-pound maximum weight per passenger), the Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane looks just like a real Jeep! And it operates with a real steering wheel and a foot pedal. Powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery, the Jeep can drive up to five miles per hour. The car is designed to travel at a max of 2.5 MPH at first, when your child is a beginning driver. When he or she becomes more experienced, just remove the safety mechanism to reach maximum speed! The vehicle also features a specially designed safety braking system, which automatically stops the vehicle when the foot is removed from the pedal. The jeep can also go in reverse at up to 2.5 MPH. The jeep includes features such as a simulated navigation system, cool sound effects, a digital clock, and a working "fuel gauge" that monitors battery level. Ride in Style! The jeep features lots of cool details that will have your child riding in style. He or she can pop some juice in the cup holder, turn up the real, working FM radio, and drive off to exciting adventures! There's room for a friend in the passenger seat, too (up to 65 pounds). The Jeep Hurricane also features the Power Wheels Ultimate Terrain Traction. With this advanced tire package, the truck can "off-road" into areas that others can't handle: It can drive over thick, wet grass, muddy areas, gravel, and other small backyard obstacles such as tree roots and garden hoses. This vehicle requires a 12-volt rechargeable battery designed specifically for this toy, which is included with your purchase, as well as a battery charger. It also requires four C batteries (not included) to operate the FM radio. This Power Wheels toy is covered by a limited 1-year "Bumper-to-Bumper" warranty from the manufacturer. What's in the Box 1 Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane ride-on toy, 12-volt rechargeable battery, and battery charger.

Great Jeep - Good Customer Service June 8, 2008 My son uses this Jeep and it holds up very well under punishment. The charger stop working and the company was eager to please and sent me a new charger, no fee. This is a toy that kids will enjoy all year round and I have not seen anything that would lead me to believe it is not safe.
Jeep Hurricane Power Wheels by Fisher Price June 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Best purchase ever, not just the product but the response from Mattel/Fisher Price. Our jeep had a cracked seat when it arrived so I called the 800 348 0751 and expressed the issue and with absolutely no Heee-Hawin around a new seat is on its way. I later noticed that the key was no where to be found and again called that 800# and just as quick as I finished a new one was on its way. I am not use to such quick response from ANY company. Customer Friendly should be added to all their products. Oh, I spoke with a live person as well so as you can tell I'm living is SHOCK CITY. As far as the Jeeps performance so far so good and I look forward to many years of service out of this baby. I'll update later on the actual performance as my lil guy get use to it.

This Product is very good, however I thought I cancelled this item as soon as I placed the order, when I realized the shipping charges were $143.00. I got a confirmation saying the item was cancelled, however I got a call a few days later from a local delivery service, confirming the delivery. When I called Amazon.com & told them I had cancelled this Item they agreed I did, BUT because it was being sent from a 3rd party, I waould have to cancel with them. I was never told this when I originally cancelled, and because it was TOO LATE to cancel from the 3rd party, my only recourse was to not accept it & be charged ANOTHER $[...]!!
Toy Jeep January 15, 2008 Up to four of our grandsons at a time love riding around our yard on this thing -- one driving, on in the passenger seat with the radio, and two sitting on back. Needs adult supervision as driving into things or running over one of their brothers with it results in a loss of turn. The "jeep" is well designed, navigates rough terrain pretty well, appears pretty safe from catching fingers, hands, etc., is hard to turn over, and has survived four 2-hour driving sessions with the kids so far. A really big success.
Just like the big boys. January 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This purchase was made for my 3 year old son at Christmas. It took some warming up to but once he got the hang of it look out. It did not take him long to figure out how to stop so we've had very few collisions, thank goodness. After he's had it awhile we even dared to put it into high. Well that just made it more fun then before. And of course he managed to find the only mud hole in the yard and makes a point to drive through it every time. We've had no problems with safety and he's even learned forward, backward, right turn and left turn from the sounds the jeep makes. This is sure to supply fun for years to come. My only comment is to allow plenty of time for putting it together. Not difficult just time consuming.
