Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached?
The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron pedometers?
The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
What are moderate steps?
At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day. The HJ-151 Pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace.
What are aerobic steps?
The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer separately displays aerobic steps and minutes that start counting after 10 minutes of continuous walking with more than 60 steps a minute.
How does the PC software work?
The HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP. It keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.

 Great steppin' counter September 6, 2008
I've had this little gizmo for about a month now. It does everything it suppose to do and I haven't had any serious issues with it. Believe me, whether you clip it on your belt, stick it in your shirt or pants pocket it will monitor the # of steps you take. If you don't care about how many steps you took at work then like me, you'll have to reset it when you really want it to start, but that's no biggie. It does keep 7 days worth of info in memory, but you have to switch modes and start over if you want to say remember how many minutes you walked 2 days ago. The only reason I marked 4 stars vs. 5 was yesterday it seemed to not accurately record steps but I'm sure that had to do with changing locations of where I walked..an outside track versus inside at the local mall. If you're looking for a good pedometer from a reputable company and don't want to spend more than $20, buy this. I ordered from Amazon and had it within 3 days.

So easy to use--just pop in your pocket & it counts all your steps. I've had other pedometers but this one was by far the easiest to program & it's effortless to use.
usefull walking September 5, 2008
seems a good choice it tells me what I needed to know. How far I walk and the number of steps I take in a given day. Also, estimates how many calories I burn depending on the distance and steps taken.
It's quite easy to use and I would recommend it to anyone needing a pedometer.
A Great Pedometer September 5, 2008
The HJ-112 is the best pedometer I've owned. It's accurate, easy to use, and reasonably priced. Omron is a good name in the business. A useful feature is the memory, which will keep your step-counts for the past week.
Every Family Member Now Has One of These Pedometers September 5, 2008
Bought our first one when Amazon had them as a Gold Deal. Now everyone in the family has one! Have tried many, many others but this one is the only one that really works. Unbelievably accurate! Two of them have even survived an unintended cycle of our washing machine. At any price this is a good buy!
