Shaker bottle review October 6, 2008 Nice product overall but the vent cap does not fasten securely and is prone to popping off.
Works great October 2, 2008 I'm a first year college student and had to ditch the blender for a protein shaker. It's been over a month now and it's still working great. My protein powder is never clumpy (ON Whey). I generally shake it for 40-60seconds. Ignore the comments about this leaking - if you make sure the lid is on tight and the caps are closed, it won't leak - trust me on that.
It's a good product for the price. I highly recommend it.
Does a pretty good job and the price is excellent August 16, 2008 I have found this shaker to do a good job mixing my protein supplements into the appropriate amount of liquid. The picture does not show this very well, but there is a small tab opposite the spout which covers a small hole that allows air to enter the bottle as you pour out the contents - I think this is to reduce splashing. It usually does not leak very much provided you press down on the cap and the little ventilation tab with your hand as you shake. When leaking does occur it has been very slight and is easily dealt with by holding a paper towel over the top of the bottle as you shake.
Whether or not your supplement will dissolve fully I think has more to do with your supplement than with the shaker itself. I would wager that this product incorporates the powder approximately as well as any other shaker. A shaker is a shaker. I can however tell you that I get very full incorporation of Biochem brand whey protein in water after a brisk 45-60 seconds of shaking. Your mileage may very with different supplements, but for my money I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
(Oh, and my shaker is blue. It looks cooler than the one in the picture.)
Not great, but good. Works well, leaks a little. July 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This 16 oz.+ capacity cup definitely has more pluses than negatives. Add the milk or liquid first, then add the protein powder, so you won't have sludge on the bottom of the cup. I shake vigorously for 30 seconds-1 minute, depending upon how much protein powder I add, and definitely over the sink, because my cup does leak a little from the side while shaking. A separate screen piece inside breaks up all the clumps very well and the end result is a very smooth, well-blended drink. Mine doesn't leak when I drink from it and the drinking spout works fine. Hand-washes very easily. I wanted a fancier one initially, but now I think that good enough is good enough.
Great for the price July 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For $2, this works great. Great for taking your post workout shake with you. The only issue I had with is that the seal isn't perfect on the lid so there is a wee bit of leaked when you shake it up.
