Product Description
Cardamom (Elettaria Cardamomum) is native to India and is an often used spice in many dishes from south Asia. Chewing on Cardamom Pods can calm an upset stomach while sweetening the breath. After saffron and vanilla, Cardamom is the third most expensive spice. Each pod contains about 20 aromatic seeds. The green is the most common pod and the white Pods are simply bleached green Pods. Black and green Cardamoms are frequently interchangeable. The black variety is felt to be superior for spicy and rustic dishes.

Fragrant Black Cardamom November 10, 2008
This is the first time that I have ordered from this site and I am very impressed. The cardamom that I ordered are beautiful and the 8 oz. jar is really a lot. They are so fragrant and wonderful in my cooking. I also ordered purple sticky rice and it is very nice, too. Her prices are very good; I do a lot of comparative shopping. I will be buying from this source again!

I was a little worried that I would not tell the difference between the black and the green cardamom pods, but when I opened the container the difference was drastice. The black pods were more Pugnent. The pods were fresh and worth the investment. Thank's.
