Great for Grilling July 10, 2008 This is the best stake/season salt I have found for grilling. It is odd that it comes from a recording company, but then again, most of the truly great products aren't made by typical manufactures. Anyway, the salt is great for more than just stakes. I used it on most of the beef items I throw on the grill. Oh, and sometimes the corn too. At any rate, it really helps bring out the flavor in the food! Do yourself a favor and pick some up. Happy grilling.
Try It With Omaha Steaks... May 14, 2007 I grew up with my father-an excellent chef-using this product on his steaks. Incidentally he was also Chip Davis' physician so perhaps that is where it originally came from-most likely a gift. I have looked high and low to find it in stores and only found it once at a Hy-Vee in West Omaha years ago. I ran out and was thrilled to find it on-line since my Omaha Steaks have not been the calibur of my father's since. I highly recommend it, and it is particularly good on those thick, corn fed beef steaks. Season your steaks at least 15-20 minuntes before placing on the grill. Cook your steak a nice medium to medium well, you won't be disappointed!
Salt with a little twist... May 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, what can I say? It's salt. Men have died for it, others have traded for it, and in a time long ago it was used as money. People drive cars fast on it so what's so special about this one? It's salt with a touch of garlic, it does wonders for your steaks and burgers, but so does salt and garlic from about any other source. Maybe what is special about this one is it costs about five times what regular sea salt does? Who Knows?
You're gonna have to try it for yourself... I'd buy it again, I think...
