Amazon.com Review Plan appropriately for conditions by tracking indoor and outdoor temperatures with this wireless thermometer from industry leaders Taylor. Since 1851, Taylor has created thermometers of every kind, from candy thermometers to industrial freezer gauges. This thermometer system includes a sleek base unit that conveys temperatures in large digits with outdoor information transmitted by the provided outdoor sensor. The plastic base monitor adapts for wall mounting or stands upright on tables or window ledges. The LCD display reveals the dual temperatures in 1-1/5-inch high digits. The base unit also records daily minimum and maximum temperatures and notifies users of low battery levels with a low-battery indicator. Users may opt to read the temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees. Inside measurement capabilities range from +23 to +122 degrees F, while outdoor temperatures range from -4 to +140 degrees F. The remote sensor features a weatherproof design for success in all climates and also displays temperatures with 2/3-inch high digits. The sensor transmits information to the base unit from a maximum distance of 100 feet. To extend this range, or to detect the temperature of a swimming pool or fishpond, the sensor comes with a removable 11-foot cable. This system can accommodates up to three remote sensors. The product requires the separate purchase of four AA alkaline batteries and is covered by a one-year limited warranty. The base unit measures 3 by 3 inches with a 2.4-inch screen, the transmitter measures 3 by 2-3/4 inches. The temperature system weighs 11.2 ounces upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Works great November 24, 2008 I purchased 2 of these, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, both reading from the same outdoor thermometer. They work great and are easy to read from across the room.
I can't get this to work! October 25, 2008 I can't get it to read the outside temperature correctly. It' only about 20 feet from the outside thermometer. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I'm very disappointed.
EASY TO READ; EASY TO SET UP October 15, 2008 Product arrived in a timely basis. Simple instructions for installation. Temperature accuracy is great! Easy to read. You will not be disappointed.
Just Works September 9, 2008 We have had this set for quite a while. Replace batteries in both units and re-sync at that time, once a year. It just works.
Since my wife works outside most of the time, it helps to know the REAL outside temperature especially on cold mornings. She really appreciates that aspect of having a good remote unit.
I tried to find the instruction manual online, but can't seem to find it, or the Taylor web site.
Great way to monitor your freezer July 25, 2008 I bought this device with the express purpose of keeping track of the internal temperature of the chest freezer we keep in our garage. With the remote sensor snuggled deep in the freezer, and the main display unit hanging on the wall, I can see the temperature of the interior of the garage and see how cool the freezer is at a glance. So far, so good.
