Amazon.com Review
Equipped with a radio receiver tuned to the U.S. atomic clock, this travel alarm clock keeps time with split-second accuracy by automatically adjusting, if necessary, to the atomic clock's signals six times every 24 hours. The atomic clock, operated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, is one of the most accurate in the world. From its signals, this slim (5/8 inch thick) little clock (3-1/2 by 2-1/2 inches) not only shows the precise time but also displays on its LCD screen the date and day. (The day can be shown in English, Spanish, or French.)

The screen also displays what North American time zone the clock is set for, and that zone can be selected by the user. The alarm is a crescendo, increasing in volume and intensity to wake even the soundest, jet-lagged sleeper. Other features include a fold-away stand; 8-minute snooze and blue backlighting when the bar above screen is pressed; an indicator showing how well the radio receiver is receiving the atomic clock's signals; automatic adjustment for daylight-saving time and leap year; and a low-battery icon. As a backup, time, day, and date can be set manually as well as automatically. The clock operates on two AAA batteries (which are included). --Fred Brack

1 out of 5 stars Look elsewhere   July 30, 2008
I purchased this item to replace a very tiny and easy to use travel alarm clock I have used for many years. I travel more than 100,000 miles a year, and began looking for something both relatively small but especially something easy to use. I didn't need a lot of bells, buzzers, and whistles. I received the clock and it appeared relatively straight forward. Trying it at home before traveling the clock re-adjusted time zones repeatedly. I seriously doubt my night stand is moving time zones, so this appeared to be the first glitch. After traveling to a near by city by air (within the same time zone) the clock simply died. It is less than a month old. I would suggest you look elsewhere and not consider something that has multiple issues.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!   July 18, 2008
I bought this Travel Alarm Clock because my husband I need to wake at diffrent times and the other alarm wasn't working out. The alarm didn't go off at times because the wrong time was set among other things. I needed alarm clock of my own. Oregon Scientific Travel Clock is wonderful. It is easy change alarm if you need wake up at a diffrent time than normal and the set back again. I love that the alarm starts off quietly and then get louder. It easy to put it on sleep and has a easy way to push a blue light on to see what time in the night. For both you just need to push a lightly button. You do need the directions to firgure out how to set the time and alarm but after that it's very easy.

It is excellent at keeping time. Not one problem with it so far, and it keeps me on time with my clients.

5 out of 5 stars Great Little Travel Clock   December 4, 2007

I've had this clock for over 5 years. Advantages: light, small , easy to check time in the dark (by tapping the clock gently), easy to snooze (same tap), and automatic time setting. Disadvantage: no thermometer, no intl time zones, and a bit fragile. My youngest son got hold of it and broke the backstand off. Interestingly though, the clock itself still works fine (my wife has adopted it). Extremely good value . . . this is a lot of clock for the money.

5 out of 5 stars Always on time   December 4, 2007
An earlier version of this product lasted me from high school through college and now through a year of marriage as my primary alarm clock. Six years is pretty good when the snooze button gets smacked in groggy anger every morning. Atomic precision and college road trip battle-tested, I'd reccommend it for anyone.
