 Good construction, doesn't work for keyhole mounts July 18, 2008
I rated this a 3 because while it has good solid construction, and is looks great, it did not work well for my application/speaker style.
I have fairly small speakers, but the mount on there is a keyhole type, so that you could mount them on a wall with just a screw. The problem is that the keyhole is close to the top of the speaker, similar to a picture frame, and the "L" bar that us used to mount the speaker is not tall enough to reach the keyhole.
This left me with drilling a hole in my speaker so that I could use the L-bar. I am afraid to do that as I do not know what the interior of the speaker looks like, and I do not want to drill into something vital.
The other option was to use the provided 2 way foam tape. This does not work well either as the speakers have little rubber feet on them that does not stick to the tape well.
Basically my speakers are just sitting on the stand.
One other issue is that I cannot run my wire thru the stand as the wire is hard wired into the speaker, and on the other end is a hardwired plug that goes into my receiver. This does not fit in the tube.
I do not feel like cutting an splicing the wire, so basically the wire runs down, and is taped to the back, but is still visible.

Really good product at a really great price. Would have spent more than they were worth for them at Circuit City. Don't buy them there, get them here!!!
Great Product July 15, 2008
These are the first speaker stands I've ever purchased. They stand great on my carpeted floor, with speakers around 4 or 5 pounds. As others have stated, they do a great job of hiding the wire.

I got these for my logitec z5500 satellite speakers. Although its not perfect fit for it, they gave us an option of mounting the speaker through sticky tape. Works great so for.
Very nice speaker stands for the money June 30, 2008
I use these stands for the rear speakers of my Sony HTIB system. The stands were quick and easy to assemble. I do not use them fully extended but they weem like they would be very sturdy even at their full extension. As many other reviewers have said, why pay twice as much for speakers stands from places like BB or CC. These stands do the same job, but for half the price!
