Great for high-speed, large-area cleaning, this Eureka upright vacuum is simple, maneuverable, and strong. Though not appropriate for bare floors, the vacuum features six different carpet-nap settings, tuned with an easy-access dial that ranges from low pile to thick plush. The no-nonsense construction of the vacuum makes it easy to push and turn, while the wide bumper protects furniture and baseboards. The back-mounted cloth bag zips open completely for easy removal of the inner paper bag. The stout metal brush roll on this machine stands up to abuse and thoroughly sweeps and combs carpet for deeper cleaning. The handle--released with a foot pedal--can go flush with the floor for vacuuming under furniture. Though this model doesn't come with hoses, attachments, or extra gadgets, it's a reliable, powerful way to clean all kinds of carpet. At 20 pounds, it's not exactly a lightweight, but the spare design lets you turn it on a dime. I just ordered my C2094G and I am excited about it, pretty sick huh? I am looking forward to having a real vacuum cleaner without all the crap that marketeers pile on to get that emotional sale from uneducated buyers. I feel like it's Christmas!!

I really took my time looking for a vacuum and I'm not impressed by all the flashy spaceshuttle-looking vacuums out there. By the way, it is nearly impossible to find bagged vacuums anymore. I finally found this vacuum at Sams Club for $140. I'm really really satisfied with it. The suction is so powerful that it literally picks up my berber carpet. I rather like the no-frills design; I love classic style. The chrome looks pretty. What I don't understand is why everyone thinks it's heavy, it is not from my perspective. My last vacuum which I returned last week, a bissell, was huge, heavy, and very cumbersome to push. I returned the bissell because cleaning the bin was so messy and unhealthy--my husband got a sore throat from inhaling the dust when cleaning the bin. I find this vacuum to be light, compact, but very powerful. It uses half the number of amps (5 amps) than non-commercial vacuums but it appears to be more effective. From the looks of this vacuum I am willing to bet that it will survive much longer than my previous vacuums. I figure if hotels use it for daily use on dozens of hotel rooms, it should be able to handle my little space 2-3 times a week.

I bought this product be cause of the reviews, but I found they weren't correct, this vaccum is a pile of junk, it is noisey, it is hard to push, and it dumps the things it picks up back on the carpet or floor, the only thing good about this machine is the cord at least they were smart enough to put a decent cord on it, The next time I will buy at a local store, at least I can tell them in person what a bad product they have

We bought this vacuum a little over 2 years ago. AT FIRST I loved it. It is very heavy..but it did do a good job. Now that we have stairs to go up it made me not even want to vacuum because it was so heavy to carry up the steps and awkward to carry. We have a german shepard who sheds a lot and it just can't keep up with the fur. The handle doesnt release anymore easily. I have to literally bang it off the ground to get it to release and sometimes even that doesn't work. Changing the bag doesn't do anything for picking up the fur and nothing is clogged in the brushes. I am going to TRY to contact the customer service dept but I'm sure we're past the warranty period. But I just used those words last night to my husband that I hate this vacumm!! I bought a Kemore Quick Clean last night and I love it and it was half the price of this. Amazing on the pet hair. I can't believe what the eureka was leaving behind. Unbelievable! Buy a kenmore instead and save!!

This vacuum is built like the old ones. Our family used to have a baby blue one, and we loved it!!! I honestly don't expect to replace this one for 20 years!! I too am a vacuum nut, and am finally satisfied. The suction power is incredible. When I lift up the vacuum while its running, it sucks the carpet up off the pad!!!! Just as if I pinched the nap and pulled on it!!! And the 50 foot cord is very handy.
We used to have a "windtunnel" kennmore, and was always replacing the filter, and it never really cleaned very well because of the filters being clogged with every single use. In my experience, bag less vacuums never work as well as the "bag" vacuums. This vacuum gets a new filter with each bag!! We are using it with the Filteraire bags part# 57695B which have the 3M filtration.
I would suggest the previous reviewer with the cats check the connection from the base unit to the bag for any hairballs that may be clogging it. Also with cats, it may be necessary to replace the bags more often. When the bag is full, to the line marked on it, it won't clean anymore. But that's true with any vacuum. When the filter, rather bag or external is clogged, your suction goes out the window.
