Product Description The Ultralight Futon Frame is our most modest in design and price. It's simplified structure makes it so versatile: perfect for small bedrooms, office & guest rooms, underneath loft beds, and of course, as a traditional style futon sofa, lounger and chair-All in One! Lightweight and armless, this frame operates easily with a swing-under conversion and offers multiple positions for optimal comfort. Frames and futons can be purchased separately or as a combo. Room Doctor's Quality 8" futon or Ultra-Plush 9" futon are both excellent choices to accompany any futon frame.

Cheap, good quality, but no queen picture confusing... November 2, 2008 We happenned to have an extra queen futon mattress and needed an inexpensive frame to use it in the basement... For the price, the wood was good quality, easy to assemble (and I'm a girl)... my only complaint is that I did not realize since there is no queen picture, that is does not fold like a standard futon frame... i.e. if you thought it would fold length-wise, it actually folds width-wise. So, if you wanted mostly a couch, it would be smaller, or if you wanted a bed, it actually rests right on the floor. I would have rather spent a little more and gotten a standard folding frame...
Pretty Good, harder than expected to assemble July 30, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this to use as a sleep surface for guests, as well as a sofa between guests. It has been in use solely as a bed for a month, used by 2 young boys. It is very well made, and has served its purpose well.
The diagrams in the installation instructions weren't that great, leading to misreading the orientation of some pieces. I had to disassemble and re-assemble these -- resulting in about 30-45 min. extra effort. All told, it took me about 1.5 hours to put together with an electric screwdriver.
One of the screws came loose later -- no fault in the product. The screw hole was backed up by a knot. Also, when used as a sofa, it is rather low to the ground. I like it that way, but others may not.
Handy little wheels June 23, 2007 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
This is exactly as advertised: light weight yet sturdy enough to use as a sofa, reasonably easy to assemble (give it about an hour with a cordless drill), nice looking in its simplicity. I like that it folds across the short dimension of the mattress, so when it's folded up as a couch it doesn't take up much wall space. And it's got these little plastic wheels that don't look like much but actually work really well to reposition it when you want to pull it out as a bed.
