Perfect sleeper November 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased my raised queen a few months ago, and waited to review the product until I had slept on it for several weeks. I've been using it now since early October and I give it top marks. I purchased this with the intent of using it for guests at our new apartment but have been using it myself while I await my move. It gets daily (nightly) use and no kidding, its one of the most comfortable beds in which I have ever slept.
When dressed with sheets, etc., and the dust ruffle, it is indistinguishable from a "regular" bed, given that it is the same height. It is easy to inflate and seems to hold its air for weeks at a time.
Queen-sized sheets fit fine and the beauty of it is, when I am ready to move, it packs up into its own duffle bag/stuff sack. It will be perfect for the occasional guest and thus no need to have a dedicated bed in what will be our home office.
If I were to come up with any drawbacks, it would be to point out that you cannot sit on the very edge of the bed since it is inflatable (natch), but, knowing that, simply park your butt more towards the center of the bed!
I unequivocally recommend this as a great bed for occasional use, and will update my review after another few months. In my case, it sits on a newly carpeted floor, so there is no danger of a puncture.
Oh, last point - I was introduced to this brand when I stayed with a friend who had the queen-sized but non-raised product - while perhaps ok for a night or two, there is a lot of motion when someone rolls over and for me, it was too close to the floor. The raised model has a system of vertical tubes that provide excellent stability and good support.
Good Guest Bed October 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this for my parents who do not have a guest bed. It is easy to set up and surprisingly comfortable (especially so when compared to the sofa). I would not recommend it for more than a few nights (it's not THAT comfortable). Was very easy to dismantle and store. And I liked that it is raised up from the floor and looks like a real bed. Came VERY well packaged. Good quality and sturdy. The pump worked quite quickly to both inflate and deflate.
Aerobed wonderful October 21, 2008 We bought this for our houseboat. we had a double pullout couch. It slept wonderful. It inflated and deflated with ease. We just didnt have enough room where we wanted it. So now it is at home for guests. I think they will be very comfy in our basement den.
Guest Bed October 21, 2008 Really can't give this item an honest review. I'm sure it's a great item but ours had some sort of defect. It wouldn't stay inflated. I don't want to discourage anyone from making the purchase on this item. My wife and I sent it back for a refund and decided to re-buy it at a local store. We thought it would be safer just in case we had problem. Amazon was quite a bit cheaper than the stores but a little inconvenient when we had to send it back. All in all it was exactly what we were looking for.
Very comfortable October 13, 2008 We used this for a 1 week vacation and it was very comfortable as well as easy to setup and take down.
