Alli Works October 6, 2008 I have been on Alli for 2 months now and I will say, IT WORKS. It's not the fast, dramatic loss that fad dieters are looking for. I've lost 13 pounds at this point and am thrilled with the results. The "treatment effects" are a not so gentle reminder to climb back on the wagon when you slip. And, FYI, you can't skip a day of pills and expect to go out and eat fried chicken (I tried it in week three and learned my lesson). Once it's in your blood stream, you really want to work hard at eating right. I'm hoping to take off another 15 pounds over the next 3 to 4 months with smart food choices, light exercise, and Alli.
I'm finally loosing weight!! October 4, 2008 I am loosing weight, ALLI is a dream... it keeps you eating healthy or else... and obviously I need that or I would just loose the weight myself. But it also blocks the fat you digest and it has to go somewhere!
I will continue to use ALLI as a lifestyle change, until I know I don't need it anymore. Until then, happy weight loss for me.
What really works about this system? October 3, 2008 Alli is a very questionable product. How effective are the pills versus the entire system is the question. The system consists of a diet, which alone would make a lot of people lose weight, and the pills, which knock only 100 calories off your total if you follow the diet.
And, the key word is "diet." The instructions instruct you to eat 3 meals with at most 15 grams of fat. I know a lot of people who would lose weight if they made this change alone. So, again, what's really working? Do you really need these expensive pills that, when they work, cause oil to be excreted in the stool?
Essentially if you consume the small amount of oil that is excreted, you lose the full benefit of the product.
The most helpful part of the system is that in the starter pack come very handy booklets of information such as healthy choices at fast-food and dinner restaurants. It makes it easy to make the choices, but as a guy, I don't have a purse to carry these booklets, and they're too big to fit in my pocket.
I think the real power behind this system is the close attention that the user must pay to what he or she is eating, not the pills. To those who say it does work, you need to ask yourself how much those expensive little blue pills actually do apart from what you do.
Best I've tried October 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have taken several weight loss aids over the years, and this has worked beautifully. The plan really helped me to focus on what to eat - it is a simple plan to follow. 8 lbs. & counting!
Great Product, even though side effects are bad September 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using Alli for the past two weeks and it has worked great!! I have lost ten pounds so far. I have had the side effects, but I just wear an adult diaper to eliminate the embarrassment and the extra laundry. Wearing an adult diaper is more discreet than messing your pants in public, as long as you change as soon as the accident occurs, which is why the diaper is better than the disposable underwear.
