Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Now you can store, carry and transfer large files in an affordable, convenient device. The DataTraveler from Kingston helps budget-conscious users break storage barriers, allowing them to easily store and move large files in a device no bigger than a pocketknife, replacing the need for floppies or the hassle of burning CDs.As easy as click and drag, the DataTraveler can hold just about any file you can think of: term papers, theses, digital images, spreadsheets or other important documents. It works with virtually any computer with a USB port - even cross-platform from Macintosh to PC and vice versa.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Defective   September 5, 2006
12 months to the day that I bought this on Amazon this drive just stopped working. Had a lot of data on it that I am unable to retrieve... a major loss. While Kingston generally makes good products, make sure you have backups of data you keep on this drive.

5 out of 5 stars Fast, reliable performer   December 24, 2005
Kingston is a name most of us have come to trust, and this flash drive is fast and easy to use - perfect for Windows or Macintosh users. Of course, if you need encryption, you'd best upgrade tot he DataTraveler II; but for daily needs, this is compact and a breeze to use.

4 out of 5 stars Best in town...   April 6, 2005

I originally owned the Kingston 128, but as time went on, I found that it wasn't enough memory for my needs. So, I moved up to 256, then on to 512. it's been a great tool for my needs. I move lots of docs and am able to use it to repair PC's. I highly recommend it.

Pros:
reliable, sturdy, adaptable (works in both PC/MAC's) and fits nicely in your pocket (don't forget it or you may wash it by accident, unfortunately, not water proof... :P)

Cons:
It's a little bulky, but that's only when compaired (ex. sandisk models, had one, but it was a piece of junk) a short adapter is included, which allows you to use it in tight spaces..

Overall it's a quality item for a decent price. I've owned current one (Kingston 512MB) for over six months and use it almost every day.

You can't go wrong with Kingston....

4 out of 5 stars Too wide.   November 4, 2004

It's too wide to fit in the USB port of my computer (Dell) at work. The front panel of the computer where the USB port is recessed such that the DataTraveler hits the side and won't go in. Other than that, it works just fine.
