Best Portable GPS Mount May 17, 2008
This portable mount is great. My NUVI 660 clips right to it and the whole assembly sits on the dash of all (3) of my cars. It is so much better than any suction cup mount, and could not be easier to take off the dash and conceal inside the car when not in use. I have been using this mount since I first bought my Nuvi 660 about three years ago and not one time has it slid around on the dash in tight cornering or rough roads. Buy this mount and you won't be sorry.
Minimizing GPS theft May 17, 2008

I recently had my car broken into and the GPS was stolen. What I found out is the thieves are looking for opportunities to break in. So a suction mount on the windshield or even suctions marks left on the windshield are indicators for breaking into the car. The Garmin friction mount can be easily removed and stored in the trunk and the GPS removed to reduce the risk.
I was very satisfied with how easily the Garmin 350 could be mounted and then removed.
No problems May 17, 2008
Works great. Doesn't slide around at all. I happened to have a black bag and my interior is black. So when i'm parked I just put it in the black bag. Its pretty camoflaged. Most of the time when I'm driving I don't need a GPS, so it just stays in the bag. It takes like 10 seconds to take it out of the bag and put it on the dash.

Was familiar with product. It came new, in origianl packaging and was received promptly. I was impressed.
Great mount May 15, 2008
It works great with my Nuvi 660. Even when the dashboard is not completely flat it stays in place during turns. Easy to remove (theft prevention) and does not leave a tell-tale ring on the windscreen like the suction mount.
The arm from the suction mount needs to be used with this base.
Do not put this over the passenger side airbag - having a GPS flung in your face at high speed is not going to be very healthy.
