Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
The Honeywell 3-speed digital tower fan with ionizer exudes the feel of a spring breeze throughout your home. The powerful, Turbo Wind generator blades move more air than typical blades. You can turn on the breeze mode to simulate a gentle outdoor wind, or set the fan to shut off on its own in 2-, 4-, or 8-hour intervals. Either way, you can control it from your favorite spot with the convenient remote control, which features three cooling speeds and infrared technology. The tilted head also allows for directional cooling, and the strong motor operates with a quiet performance. Best of all, this fan's ionizer and dust/pollen filter can provide relief from allergies.

4 out of 5 stars cool fan   September 28, 2008
i bought this product becuase i wanted sth that cooled more than a fan but wasnt as cold as an ac. i have to admit that i was apprehensive whether this would meet my expectations coz i didnt know how much cooling it would provide. the delivery came a bit late and i dont blame amazon for it coz it came from a company that sells through amazon. nonetheless, after the easy assembly i fell in love with this tower fan. it worked just like a breeze. it provided much needed cool relief on hot summer days. i was really happy with my purchase. again amazon gave me an unbeatable price alongwith fantastic service.

5 out of 5 stars We went back and bought a second one.   September 5, 2008
We bought this at Home Depot for 49 bucks.
Both the wife and I loved it so much we went back and got another one so we dont have to keep carrying it back and forth from the living room to the bedroom at night when we go to bed.
I never thought I would use the remote, but I had to have a surgery on my foot and am on crutches for the next 5 or 6 weeks at the least, and has is it ever a life saver.!!!!
I can get all my pillows into place, jack up my leg and still adjust the fan from my jacked up command center.!!!
At night or when the noise level is low the breeze feature is a bit annoying, but otherwise nice.
I have not had oppertunity to use the timer or the temp setting as it has still be hot enough that you either need the fan or you dont. So I look forward to those features in the next month or so.
This fan is very quiet and its lowest setting is very nice and look forward to its use this winter for moving heat from the dining room (where we have the gas heater) into other areas of the house.
I dont think you will regret buying this fan, but its out there to be had for a lot less than they are asking here.
We loveboth of ours.

2 out of 5 stars Nothing special ...   August 11, 2008
I ordered it and had high expectations after reading the other reviews. I have the desktop version and it is insane! The low speed is way too much wind for me usually

This one however is nothing special. And is actually a bit short which is annoying, i have to keep it on a chair to have it at a good level.

It does blow wind, but i expected better performance.

3 out of 5 stars Good but not what i expected   July 24, 2008
good silent and stylish fan but only problem is its not powerful enough..Dont expect it to cool anything other than your bed ( that is if u keep it near your bed)

4 out of 5 stars Great fan, but the base needs a redesign   July 13, 2008

This is a very nice fan that runs day and night in my home office with no mechanical issues whatsoever. I've owned it for a little under a year or so and it really is a workhorse.

However, the design for the base connectors is a joke. There are six little plastic flange-like clips that interlock with the base at the center. But there is no way to lock them permanently into place and if you move the fan, the base will often slip right off and then you're forced to flip it over and fasten the thing on again. After a few moves in my office, two of the clips broke off and now it's very difficult to get things seated securely again. This is an absolutely boneheaded design, in my opinion. It detracts from an otherwise quality product.

But aside from this poor bit of engineering, I'm still inclined to give kudos where appropriate. Especially for the price, this is a good fan.
