Amazon.com Product Description Ideal for travelers, trade show exhibitors, and anyone else who frequently schleps boxes and other gear from place to place, the Magna Cart personal hand truck is engineered with toughness in mind. The 7-pound hand truck is made of sturdy rustproof aluminum, with a telescoping handle that extends to 39 inches tall. As a result, both tall and short users can comfortably haul up to 150 pounds at once. The 5-inch rubber wheels, meanwhile, roll smoothly on virtually any surface, from pavement to trim carpet to linoleum. Best of all, the truck folds up compactly for storage or carrying, with a footprint of only 25 inches tall and 2 inches wide. The hand truck's narrow profile makes it ideal for carrying on planes (it fits easily in overhead compartments), trains, and cars, and when you're not using it, simply hang it on a peg in the garage or stow it next to the fridge.

To help the sore lower back July 13, 2008 I have to move small boxes of medium weight around the house, and being a senior with moderate lumbar spinal stenosis, noted the worst part of this work was picking up, carrying, then setting down these boxes. This "personal hand cart" is ideal for this job. It comes completely assembled: remove from shipping carton, open and start using.
It is only for small jobs....personal items only. You won't use it for loading a moving van. It is compact, and will fit in that cranny between the refrigerator and the wall, or will stand alone inconspicuously if you don't prefer to collapse it. The side bars collapse into each other when you squeeze the top handles. It is very easy to use. Pull "up" on the bottom support, and the wheels rotate inward to close for storage. All in all a nifty gadget.
worth every penny July 12, 2008 This Magna Cart hand truck is the best item I have purchased in a long time. It is everything advertised and more. Sturdy, compact, and makes tough jobs very simple. I use it to haul my bulk vending machines and it makes this back breaking job very simple. I cannot believe how strong and well designed this hand cart is. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to haul light, medium or heavy objects on a regular or sporadic basis. Great product.
Travel Cart is amazing!!!! July 10, 2008 This hand truck is really a great purchase. It is sturdy, and can hold up to four boxes of books, which was a big help for schleping boxes back and forth during a conference. I highly recommend it to anyone.
Nice July 6, 2008 Very nice, it's light and easily fits in the car, but there is a small downside. Getting some cases off can be an issue because the support isn't thin like a normal hand truck. You have to lift them off.
well constructed - strapping is a problem June 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This thing is well-made, light-weight and collapsible to a point of extacy..... but, when strapping large cumbersome loads, e.g. bungy cord from tip of fold-down ledge to top of extended handle - the tension will cause the ledge to rise-up..... which is the mechanism for collapsing the wheels into the frame-work.
Personally - I would advise a "ledge-lock" that prevents the wheels from becoming "pidgeon-toed" and causing the load to become unstable.
