Some time ago I switched to 1/4" hex detent bits for almost everything. Love the system. Quick change in and out.
Drill bits were an issue.
You basically could get Ryobi bits in hex. When you broke one, you could by another kit to get that bit. With luck you might find it as a single.
Then I read about the Quick Change Kit by Snappy and my life changed. (Right)
Hey, they work. Just fine. When you break or dull one, just swap it out for a fresh one. I carry a supply of common drill sizes just for that.
I am a Happy Camper.
