It's finished by a supple, tan genuine leather strap with crocodile texturing. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. Mother-of-pearl is the pearlescent material found on the inside of mollusk shells like abalone, oysters, and mussels, which can be scraped off, sliced thin, and applied to all manner of jewelry.

This watch was just as I expected, with a nice, thin ivory strap that goes with everything. The one problem is that it needed a new battery after only a month...$10 more and a pain in the neck. But for the price, overall it is a good buy.

Wonderful gifts for African friends July 28, 2008
I purchased 8 of these watches to take as gifts for friends in Kenya. You can't beat a Timex. I've worn one on 13 safaris and it still is accurate despite the heat, humidity and constant dust in Africa. Finding a Timex with a light colored strap is such a bonus! I leave for Africa today, and I'm sure everyone will be delighted with their gift.

The watch is very dependable, easy to read and looks fine with the work clothes. I wouldn't call it smart looking, but it is neat and attractive.

This watch is attractive. Very comfortable leather band fits well on
a small wrist. It is very functional and looks great to wear year round.
Easy to read with mother of pearl dial. I would recommend this watch.
