Actually, I love this thing January 18, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
So you know, I'm a married 32 year old woman with kids. I don't think my husband and I are in the demo, ya know? But I really like this show. And I don't much like reality TV, even. We watched because the first episode was free on Tivo, and we're hooked. The guy is a mess. An unqualified disaster. But still there's something so likeable about him and his odd collection of aged frat buddies--you really pull for him. You want to see him get it together. The first episode of season 2 was really great. It's picked up at the very moment season 1 ended, so you get the whole story, beginning with Scott stealing a catering truck and breaking onto the golf course at his country club so he can get away from the cameras. And it gets better! I'm looking forward to the rest of season 2.
Must watch for single men and women November 4, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Wow, I can't count how many people I've mentioned this series to in the last 3 weeks and recommended that they check it out. It is hilarious, pitiful and very interesting watching Scott's struggles to determine who he is and what he wants out of life and love.
One of my favorite lines from the series is "The only thing that is more pitiful than you and your friend Johnny V going out and picking up 20 year old women is you and Johnny V doing the same thing at age 55"!
I also like Scott's quote "I don't want to die alone" and "There is a time to put away childish things". To me these cut to the core of this program and why some men are afraid to commit, but unfortunatley some guys never learn these lessons until too late, if at all.
Good for Scott Baio, a hero for many guys, to put himself out there in this reality series. It is really cool to see him walk through the process.
I've heard there is a season II and I can't wait!
