Finally, a comedy to laugh October 9, 2008 This is a very funny comedy. Fantastic, wonderful and it also has some serious parts. I really enjoyed! I wish I could find more comedies like this one. Highly recommended.
Death can Make you Laugh till you Cry October 8, 2008 If you're apprehensive about this movie, I would banish that right away. This is something you could buy without a recommendation and it would instantly be one of the best comedies in your movie colllection. The cast is dynamite and the storyline is stomach aching funny.
Dark Comedy ~ Very Entertaining October 6, 2008 This movie takes place at a Funeral. Hence the description, DARK COMEDY ~ If you are unable to find humor in this situation, then you will NOT like this movie. HOWEVER, if you realize that in every situation, humor can and does exist, then you will be in for a very enjoyable 91 minutes.
The parts are expertly played by a superb cast. The script is witty and smart and the story is very well presented. This movie was recomended to me, while at the same moment, someone else who watched it, told me it was terrible. So, to qualify my taste, these are Dark Comedies that I have enjoyed watching in the past: "Head Above Water" ~ "Death Becomes Her" ~ "Little Nicky" ~ "Daddy's Dying".
So, if you share my taste, you will want to watch this movie. And if you liked this movie, you'll probably enjoy the ones listed above... Have fun!
British humor at it's Best! September 29, 2008 This possibly was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. If you like British humor, you will enjoy this. The language is a little too strong, therefore I would not let the kids watch it. The story line at times is predictable but there are just as many surprises along the way.
Best Comedy of 2007! September 19, 2008 "Death at a Funeral" was truly the greatest comedy of 2007. A film in which the acting outweighed the billing of the actors. The writing was superb, the delivery was deadpan, the casting was perfect. Every detail was so precise. The pacing was flawless, and the music was great. Rent it, watch it, try not to love it, I dare you!
