Product Description Halo Automotives Halo HID Bulbs provide 300 percentage more light than a standard halogen bulb and lives three times as long. Halo HID Bulbs are 100 percentage plug and play replacing your factory HID bulb. Halo HID bulbs come in a variety of colors including: 4,3000k, 6,000k, 8,000k, 10,000k, and 12,000k. The packaging may or may not have the name Halo on the box or the product. This has absolutely no effect on the performance and reliability of the bulb.

| Customer Reviews: World's Worst Packaging (For Amazon) July 14, 2010 Good Stuff (West Hollywood, CA) I can't even review the product itself, since one light in the package was completely shattered and the other's little white rod was cracked.
I hate to do reviews like this, but I must nominate this as one of the very worst packaged products I've ever received. The type of packaging this product is completely Amazon incompatible since it'd take a small miracle for this to survive air shipping, especially the rigors that UPS tends to put products through.
Basically, you have a clear, HARD plastic blister pac -- large -- where the bulbs sit LOOSELY on the black plastic backer. Think "rock tumbler". The last type of thing you want glass lights in!
One bulb apparently got loose and tumbled around on the way to me, and perhaps on the ship from China, obliterating itself and damaging the other bulb. Even worse, when I came home later last night, I found out that my little 2 year old got into the Amazon return package on the counter, saw the cool looking toy like objects, and promptly opened it only to be stabbed with lots of little shards. Ouch! !@&*^# HALO!
For comparison's sake, I also ordered 2 sets of Supervision HID lights (4300 and 6000K) in the very same order. The original idea was that I'd compare all 3 sets, all for less than the cost a single HID bulb from the dealer. I'd pick the set I liked best, post a review saying which 6K looked best, and would end up having 2 sets as backups. A valuable strategy for road trips and the like, since affordable HIDs are not sold brick & mortar world.
For the price I honestly expected the Supervisions to be packaged in tissue paper. Instead, each Supervision came in individual, custom design protective screw tubes. The engineering of these was impressive. These tubes themselves contained in superhard corrugated boxes that can take fairly intense impacts. Even though they Supervision pairs are each 1/3rd of the cost of the Halos, the packaging of the Supervisions is nothing short of amazing. You could probably STAND on the Supervision packaging without hurting them, that's how hardy the darn packaging is. Now if those bulbs are half as bullet proof as the the packaging (I doubt it), I'll be set!
In the past, I've also ordered a GE D2R bulb that came with a ballast. That was also packaged well (although not as well packaged as the Supervision, if memory serves).
In short, if I return these for an exchange, I really don't have faith that Amazon will be able to deliver a new set of Halos to me without breakage. It would depend more on hope and prayer than anything else.
Aside from an obvious buying mistake, it's not Amazon's fault. Amazon's fulfillment center could go all out and package these in custom blown foam, with little air floats and all kinds of modern protectants, and it wouldn't matter. Amazon would have to ship these in 0 gravity to make a difference. The bad packaging here has to be corrected at the factory, or a conscientious reseller would need to unpack them and repack them properly.
All that said, I find this to be a bit sad, since these are supposedly made made in Japan. I'd love to try a good Japanese bulb, but I have to believe the packaging was *not* designed in Japan, America, Germany or any clear thinking country. In fact, my guess is that the packaging was designed drunk. I'd love to try these sometimes when I can trust the packaging... but for now, a plastic rock tumbler for lights... c'mon, what were they thinking??!
Wrong brand! They gave me "Super Vision HID" instead of "Halo Automotive" brand. March 3, 2010 Castiwell (San Francisco, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the first time I'm so disappointed with Amazon. The product here specifically says that these HID lights are "Halo Automotive" brand. However I received "Super Vision HID" brand instead. (A quick search for Super Vision HID is for $40 on the web.) So I complained and they resent me the product. The replacement product was again "Super Vision HID" brand. Since my lights were broken I had to take it and install it so I can drive my car. I sent out emails telling them that they are sending me the wrong product and the product they sent me is a cheaper version. They go on about saying they can't always be the lowest price on the internet. But that wasn't even what I was complaining about. I sent another email asking if they even read their customer's emails and they never replied back...*sigh*. Well just to warn the next customer, you probably won't get what you want when you order this product. But you can try and if you receive the wrong brand just return it back to them for free since it isn't what was advertised. However don't do it if you were like me who needed the lights immediately. Would have given one star, but their return/replacement was quickly sent out and the product itself (Super Vision HID) does work fine.

This is supposed to be a replacement HID bulb, it feels like an upgrade as well. these D2R bulbs are so much brighter than the stock lights.
