Product Description Weber, Gold Series, 22-1/2" One Touch Charcoal Kettle, Black, Heavy Gauge Porcelain Enameled Steel Lid& Bowl, High Capacity No Rust Ash Catcher, Patented One Touch Cleaning System, Heat Resistant Nylon Handles On Lid & Bowl, Hinged Cooking Grate, 10 Year Limited Warranty
Amazon.com Review Weber's One-Touch Gold kettle grill is a great buy for anyone looking for a classic model with a few convenient extras. The design is sleek. The results are delicious. As with all Weber grills, this kettle's lid and bowl are constructed of premium porcelain-enameled steel--which means not only does heat radiate evenly, but the grill will survive if it's left out in the rain. The cooking surface (22-1/2 inches in diameter) is big enough to accommodate six large steaks, twice as many burgers, or up to a dozen kebabs, and the grill's classic kettle shape keeps flare-ups to a minimum. When designing this grill, Weber clearly kept convenience in mind. The grill's nickel-plated grate has two built-in hinged side openings that make adding more charcoal briquettes easy and safe, and, when the lid's not in use, it can hang from the bowl by a handy hook. The grill is durable, too. The porcelain-coated steel bowl and lid are exceptionally strong and designed never to rust, fade, or peel. The grill's aluminum vents and ash catcher won't rust either, and its tripod base, nylon handles, and all-weather wheels--besides being exceptionally sturdy--make the grill remarkably easy to maneuver. Weber's patented One-Touch cleaning system--a clever setup of lever-activated blades--sifts ash out of the kettle and into a cooking-pot-shaped ash catcher. You never have to get your hands dirty--and emptying the kettle takes only a few seconds. To top it all off, Weber throws in a 31-page owner's guide filled with cooking tips and time-tested recipes for grilling everything from pork chops to bratwurst to Cornish hens.

Hot stuff July 3, 2008 My husband will only use a Weber One-Touch Gold charcoal grill, which I can no longer purchase locally. Amazon had it at my door in time to grill the next weekend. SMOKIN'!
Not like it used to be. July 1, 2008 I just purchased this grill as a gift since our 10+ yr. old Weber was and is really great. I like my old Weber grill much better. The handles on this grill get really hot and you will need a pot holder to lift the lid. The absence of the lid lock means there is no place to put the lid but on the ground. My old grill allows me to just slide the lid back. This grill also is lacking a thermometer on the lid. Some things are better left alone and this is one good example. Plus it arrived damaged.
Gold weber grill June 27, 2008 I bought this grill for my husband. This is the second, 22 1/2 inch, Gold grill for him. It works well and predictable for a Weber product. Their customer service people are helpful when you need an answer to any question. I love it, because he smokes Salmon and whole chicken to perfection. His salmon is always a request by the grandkids, all 13 of them.
Great Product! June 23, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great grill! It is easy to set up, easy to use. It cooks hot and evenly. We gave our son one for Christmas, and he liked it so well that we ordered ourselves one.
Weber 22 1/2" Charcoal Grill - good and bad June 21, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received this grill from my wife for my birthday. I was telling her that when I was a kid growing up in my house, my Dad made the best grilled meats on charcoal compared to the gas grill we currently have. I always though that Weber made the best grills, and it is good, don't get me wrong. It assembled easy and has very good features that make clean up a snap. It grills great and on my first attempt, everything came out cooked perfect.
The bad part comes in during the assembly process. It did go together easy, as I said earlier. What I did notice during the assembly was that it seemed that Weber took some short cuts when designing this grill. First thing I noticed after I assembled the grill, is it is wobbly. What I mean by this is when you wheel it around, it wobbles and shakes. If you take the handle and shake it slightly, the whole grill wobbles around, as if it is not going to hold together very long. The other thing I noticed was the spot welds that Weber used seemed weak and too few. The points on the grill that need to be strong had very weak looking spot welds. I must say that this is just an impression at this point since it is new, and to truly see if it will last, will take some time. I will report back after 6 months and 1 year.
