2007 Edition: Excellent reference for budgeting or estimating December 28, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The 2006 Edition is a worthwhile buy and pays for itself quickly. I wish I had bought it much earlier in my home budgeting process. The information is well organized in a user-friendly manner. It even has cost adjustment factors for hundreds of cities. This should help you to be prepared somewhat before you start negotiating with builders and contractors.
Excellent book if you are building your own home August 24, 1999 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is an excellent book for estimating the costs involved in building a new home. It provides enough detail to get a good idea on costs. It is not as detailed as some of the other books out there but for a person like myself it has proved to be an invaluable tool. And it is easy enough to use as opposed to some of the other books out there.
