 Natural Looking Self-Tanning without sun exposure October 27, 2007

As I have gotten older (I'm 47), I have turned towards self-tanning products so I could avoid sun exposure, while still maintaining a more tanned and healthy look, especially during the winter months.
I have experimented with several self-tanning products with limited success - some bronze too heavily or create streaks, others are tinted and hard to apply evenly, and wash or rub off easily.
Decleor's Aroma Sun is easy to use and I have never had problems with streaking or blotching, getting too dark or having an unnatural looking tan. It's thick, but it's easy to apply, does not have a heavy scent and provides good moisture. I use it in place of a moisturizer a few days a week.
Tanning occurs gradually and naturally over the course of a day. With additional applications on successive days, you slowly can tan darker, but it never gets out of control or too dark. If you stop using it, the effect slowly wears off over several days and I have never had it rub off onto or stain my clothes or towels.
I have used Decleor products for many years and find them to be very high quality. Their Aroma Sun product is no exception and I highly recommend it - it is worth the cost to have a product that works well and gives excellent results consistently.
Other products I have tried but did not like were 1) "Fake Bake" (basically shoe polish in a bottle)Fake Bake Self-Tanning Lotion 6 oz.; and 2) a professional cream from my dermatolgist which was hard to control and gave a somewhat orange appearance to my skin.

The Ingrediences listed for this product on this website are incomplete especially then when one is searching for a product that does not contain parabens as the Decleor Aroma Sun Self Tanning Milk does contain those.
Parabens are used as preservatives in personal care products ,they can mimic estrogenes in the body which may raise the risk of breast cancer and birth defects. [...]
