Great notebook but.... March 31, 2007 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
Great notebook, very convenient. My only complaint would be the paper type used. It is a slick and thin paper, which does add to the utility at the expense of luxury. If you're used to Journals that use heavy rag paper, you'll be disappointed. The other downside to the thin and slick paper is that Gel Inks and Fountain Inks will smear and bleed through. I have switched to Ballpoint with mine, I found my Cross Ion and nicer fountain pens useless with this journal.
For men, this will be a bit too big to fit in a jean pocket. Yes, it fits in the back pocket, but you don't want to sit on that lump all day. I recommend the Cahiers, which are small and light and easily fit in the same pocket as your wallet. I use a Nintendo DS case, which holds two notebooks and a pen.

Great product! March 13, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using these notebooks for a while now. They're much more useful than you'd think, and they're very high quality; I know that when I take down my two full notebooks from the shelf years from now, they'll still be in good condition. When I saw this sale, I bought 4 of these and 1 larger one and got free shipping! Highly recommended.
Simple beauty and functionality combined March 12, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I received my first Moleskine notepad as a gift over a year ago and have been completely in love ever since. I pretty much don't leave the house without one handy in a pocket somewhere. Then again, I am a writer, so I tend to make notes at random times about any and all sorts of things. I've only used this particular notepad, so can't comment on the other styles. If they are anywhere near the quality, durability, and convenience of this one, however, they are well worth the price.
You would think that, with about nine months of near-daily use, any notepad would start to get a little threadbare and worn. Not this one. No, the solid black cover has a few dings in it to add character, but that's about the extent of it. The rubber binder is still firmly attached, along with the ribbon place-holder. Not one page has fallen out....on the contrary, I've actually had a tough time ripping a page or two out in the past. The paper itself is beautiful quality and holds the lead from my pencil without smearing very much at all.
I'm a Moleskine fan for life now, and that's the best compliment I can give.
low-tech is the way to go February 23, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i am a high tech person, quite a geek when it comes to gadgets. i found the moleskine notepad the perfect thing to whip out in meetings and take notes once i got tired of using my pda or laptop. i find myself more efficient with it. theres a nice little pocket in the back to put business cards in. and hey, if you dont have notes to take you can always doodle, but it does have that somewhat permanant feel
