Nice product May 31, 2008 This product puts your Garmin 305/205 right in front of you on your bike. The quick release mount works great and you can take it from your bike to wrist in seconds. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is it does not fit on my Vision base bar for my tri bike. Works awesome for my road bike though.
Great accessory for the Garmin. May 31, 2008 This is a great product, I have a small wrist and I have found this band to be much more comfortable than the big plastic one; but what I really like is the bike mount. Now I do not have to wear it on my wrist at all while riding, and all the info is right in front of me.
It was extremely easy to put on, they give you all the tools you need with it.
I have not used the setup while doing a triathlon yet, not sure if I will use the bike mount or just leave it on my wrist the entire time, either way it will be faster than trying to put the plastic band on.
Forerunner quick release kit May 14, 2008 If you are going to use the Forerunner on your bike this is a must have. Easy to install, appears to have a firm grasp on the GPS unit (nothing holds all the time) and inconspicuous, this small adapter takes all the guess work out of using your Forerunner on a bike. Must have.
works great May 14, 2008 This thing works exactly how you'd think it should work. There's a bracket that attaches to your handlebars and a new wriststra with the same bracket. The Forerunner snaps in and out of each bracket in about 1 second and both seem quite secure.
The only downside is that you go from a nice rubber wriststrap to a cheaper nylon one, but that's a small price in my book, especially if you spend more time on the bike than off.
A great Garmin accessory for cross-trainers / triathletes May 5, 2008 This accessory does what it's supposed to, that is, allow you to quickly remove your Garmin Forerunner from your bike / wrist and put it on the other (Note I've only used it for the Garmin 305). The included wrist strap is comfortable, and I've had no problems running with it. I was a little worried at first that the Garmin could become dislodged from the plastic housing, but it's a very firm fit. The mount for the bike is a little flimsy and is only held on with zip ties. There's nothing from preventing it from rotating on the handlebar mount, so if you hit a bump you have to adjust it occasionally. This has been my only real complaint, and is the only thing keeping this product from getting 5 stars.
