Kayano's Rock May 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Kayano 14 fits great and has a very nice ride. I have been running in Kayano's for 8 years and this version is my favorite. The new solyte material has a much softer feel compared to the old solyte which was first introduced in Kayano 13. If you're looking for a supportive shoe with lots of cushioning, the Kayano is the best!

Not worth the price April 15, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have worn Asics for more than 20 years. For about the last five years, I've been in the GT2130 and it's predecessors. After foot surgery last fall, I decided to "upgrade" to the GK14. Mistake. I immediately developed a blister on the left inside heel due to pinching between the insole and outer. The fabric on the shoe began to fall apart after about 30 miles (one week), even though all of those miles were on a treadmill. I don't notice any additional cushioning over the GT2130 and I haven't seen any evidence of a longer shoe life. I have about 190 miles on them and need to replace them. I am going back to the GT2130.
Significant Change from the Kayano XIII March 20, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've run in Asics since about 1986, and with a few exceptions (notably the original Evolution, which was awesome) have stuck with the Kayano since 1999. loved the Kayano XII and XIII and was ready to roll with new look Kayano XIV. I've put about 100 miles on them so far, and the biggest change is that it is a much firmer shoe - it doesn't have that cushy, flexible feel that the XII and XIII did. Feels more like a clunky motion control shoe than a lighter stability shoe. I have no concerns about the fit (same) or quality (high) of the shoe, but it's just not the same feel. Be warned.
