 One of my favorite pieces of exercise equipment October 22, 2008
This small piece of gear is offers some of the best bang for your buck you'll find anywhere. You can perform a wide array of exercises that target multiple parts of the upper body. I mix it into my routine about twice a week to really focus on the upper body. Can't beat this one for it's price, quality and wide range of exercises and muscles you can hit. I would highly recommend this one for beginners too due to it's ease of use. Beginners can start on their knees and work their way up to extending their legs as they get stronger.
Great piece of gear October 19, 2008
I was torn between getting these and the travel version, after looking at reviews of both I decided on this variation. I use them daily and find them to be very durable, have had them for 5 months without a problem. I have only used them on hard flooring (concrete and formica) so I cannot comment on how well they work on carpeting, but as long as the floor is clean and smooth, they stay in position without sliding, even during wide grip exercises. The chart that comes with them is adequate, I considered it a starting point from which I developed my own workout routine. Using them definitely improves performance in being able to knock out "normal" push ups. Being able to descend below the normal pushup depth helps to really get a good workout. Excellent product, eventually I think I will get a set of the travel version because these do not pack very easy for travel. The DVD was adequate too, it had some good pointers and recommendations for variations on the basic exercise.

Are these reviewers insane? This product is horrible. It is unusable. Why? All of my weight is being centered on the inner palms of my hands where I hold the handles. It is like the handles become knives after a few seconds. The pain is unbearable, and the thick padding on the handles does not help. It hurts to a point that I can only do two or three pushups. Do NOT buy this idiotic product.

I think the designers of this Item need to add some cushion to the hand grips. Most buyers are not Navy Seals.
Good solid construction October 11, 2008
These things are nice to use and they definitely do add some effort to an ordinary pushup. This is a good tool to use to tone up and keep in shape and the construction is solid. Doesn't feel like you're going to crack these if you drop something on them. I'd buy these again.
