Not bad... July 22, 2007 14 out of 17 found this review helpful
This clock radio is one of Sony's "Dream Machines." It is a little big and bulky, and looks a bit outdated. The sides are an awful white color. Does not look good with chic or modern decor. Also, this unit has an oddly placed input jack right in the front, which looks awkward and destroys the lines. But, I still give this product 3 stars because the display is nice and clear -- very easy to read. Also, the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price.

It was cheaper than I could get it at the store, no tax. The sound is just dandy -- it doesn't seem to work so good with my Vision M -- the line in works ok but the sound is just a whisper (so no fifth star) but it was under $30 and it wakes me up in the morning. Twice.
Handy dandy Sleep alarm. July 12, 2007 14 out of 25 found this review helpful
The product is excellent, though, in size, it is larger than you'd think from the illustration.
Using a CD for the alarm is a great idea. I now awaken to the Baron Ochs waltz, Opus 89, from Richard Strauss'Das Rosenkavalier! Devine! And I imagine Jeanette Mac Donald singing new words to this music, words crafted by a brilliant Hollywood lyricist and used in the movie "Three Daring Daughters." Not a bad way to start the day!
A great product! June 27, 2007 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
This product has really been a great asset to my bedroom. The controls are easy to use and I can receive most of my favorite radio stations. This clock/radio/cd player allows you to select specific tracks and setting the alarm is very simple. You can wake up to your favorite track, radio station, or the buzzer. The only thing I may not like about this product is the fact that the buzzer has a low pitch sound, but it increases in intervals. Specifically, the alarm sounds in five seconds and then gradually goes to three, and finally every second. The product also allows you to adjust the brightness of the clock in three settings. Overall, I'm happy with this product.
Sony ICF-CD815 AM/FM CD Clock Radio June 26, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this for my wife, because she got a promotion and a private office...it's easy to use, which is great because sometimes my wife is technologically challenged...the radio and CD player both sound great...it's really quite heavy for it's size, and seems to be made very well...no cheesy parts...it has 2 alarms which my wife will probably not use, but I made a joke that she could set one alarm to wake up for lunch, and later set the other alarm to wake up when it's time to go home !...so you've got an AM/FM radio, CD player, and a clock with a nice large bright display...what more could you want?...overall an excellent product
