These cube sized ottomans are just as advertised. They are a lovely deep dark brown, and although they don't weigh much, they do the job nicely. The storage cube is great for use to store games and odds and ends and I could see how the tray could come in handy sometime. The smaller ottoman works well in front of our love seat. We are very happy with the purchase.

My hubby bought 2 of these one year ago. The smell permeated the room. Not sure if its varnish or paint or just some other kind of toxic waste that these ottomans were saturated in before shipping. Anyway, after one week of hoping the smell would go away, I threw em out the door into the weather and for one year they sat outside as occasional tables near the pool. Well, the smell has cleared some, but as soon as I open the lid, there it is! That toxic smell wafting through the outdoor air! Ewww yuck. I've tried them for one year and they are finally going to the dump! Save the Landfills, Don't buy these!

If you don't wish to sacrifice quality too much for price, then this brand ottoman is for you. We use the small ottoman for propping up our feet and the larger one for storing our baby girl's books and toys. We have owned this ottoman for nearly a year and are very happy with it.
PROS:
1. Durable construction; we use the larger ottoman to sit on when we have many guests over.
2. Simple cleaning surface (easy to clean).
3. Since you get two-for-one it pretty much guarantees if the smaller ottoman is not high enough for your feet, the larger one will be.
4. Lightweight; easy to lift if you need to move them around.
5. Soft corners; in other words baby-safe
CONS:
1. Smaller ottoman sinks in if you sit on it. I don't feel it will break, but they just did not secure this part with a flat board/surface. I suppose this was done to allow your feet/heels to sink in and be more comfortable.
IN SUMMARY:
Best price you will find, two-for-one, best quality (for the price you will pay). I recommend a buy.

I bought this ottoman because I didn't want it to take up much space and I wanted a place to put my drinks and also rest my feet. This was the perfect ottoman. The smaller one can stow away in the bigger one and you can either have two Ottoman's or one drink table and a ottoman or stow the smaller one away and have one Ottoman or one drink table. It's perfect.
Very pleased, little to no ordor August 16, 2008
Based on other reviews I was concerned that this ottoman's ordor would make it difficult to use in my bedroom. However, the odor was very mild and unnoticable after a few days. They must have fixed the problem that others experienced earlier.
I'm very please with this unit. It's very comfortable and functional.
