I have been very pleased with this product since purchasing it. I like the option of being able to control the amount of bass given the activity that I am engaged in at the time. For the room that it is in (with overhead Polk Audio speakers), it more than does the job.

I picked this up for my son's college system next year. I wanted something not too expensive and not too big with good bump. This unit filled the bill very nicely. The 10" speaker provides plenty of thump without being too overbearing for a dorm room.(hopefully) We typically use it at about the mid-point on the dial. All the way up is too much. We are driving it with a small Onkyo 20 watts per channel tuner/CD and receiver. Delivery was fast and efficient. Thump on!

This sub surpised me when i turned it on it has nice rich bass like everyone said its steal at 99$ and it comes with Pre out cables Great SUB (Cant even turn it up all the way its that loud)

WOW!! I AM IMPRESSED!!! My background includes live sound, recording and club audio engineering, as well as home theater installations. I had finally got together the system I wanted for my living room. This included a pioneer receiver, a complete Mirage speaker system, including their most expensive subwoofer, and a KLH subwoofer. Needless to say, it is impressive. So, I figured I would put my old system in my bedroom. Problem-I didn't want to sacrifice either of my subwoofers, and my budget was very limited. So, after a lot of searching around, and on the strength of the reviews, I decided to try the YST-SW030SL. WOW, I'M IMPRESSED!! I just tried it out with my new 'Pink Floyd at the Berlin Wall' DVD. I may never leave my bedroom again!! The bass response is unbelievable! The drums, bass guitar and even pyotechnics, came through with no 'farting', bottoming, or distortion of any kind, and I like it LOUD. My next door neighbor paid the speaker the ultimate compliment- "Did you get a new speaker? Sounds good"! I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone wanting a nice powered subwoofer at a great price!

I am an older person with not so good hearing but this rattles my teeth.
