Great Mounting Solution December 14, 2007
I am in the construction/service trades and use different vehicles depending on the job for that day. I needed an easy way to transfer the Garmin Nuvi 660 between these various work vehicles and my personal cars. This mount works great and I have not had any problem at all with it sliding around on the dash in any of the vehicles I drive. The only complaint I have is the instructions could be clearer on how to change from the windshield mount to this one. All it takes is a firm pull to separate the mount from the ball on the windshield mount, and then steady pressure to pop the ball in the mount on this one. Really easy to do after you figure out how to do it. I also like the ability to set the whole thing on the truck floor when I am going to be out of the vehicle in a public place. I would not hesitate to purchase this again.

I sell real estate and I'm in more than one car on a regular basis. This device holds the Garmin securely, it doesn't slip or slide even when I make sharp turns or fast stops (moves done to test the device, not to frighten my clients), and the GPS is easy to get in and out of the device. I also like that I can take it off the dash and store it out of sight when parked so I don't advertise that there is a several hundred dollar device in my car that a thief might like to have.

I love this friction mount. I bought it because I didn't want to mount anything permanent on my window shield. With this, I can use it in my car and also my husband's car. It's very steady and stable. Never slips or moves while we're driving.

This mount works great. It also is not as large as ones I've used in rental cars. Still, it is a hefty size to hide. It's easy to attach/detach my Nuvi 360 from it. Initially I had problems detaching the unit. I misread the instructions! All you need to do is pinch the bottom tab and grab the top of the unit (at the same time) to easily remove it from the base. I recommend this mount as an alternative to the windshield mount.
