Bean Bag December 3, 2007
The bean bag is extremely helpful in securing a Garmin 660 on the dash of my car. When not in use it can be stored out of sight with ease.
 Great addition December 3, 2007
I had been using the suction mount for my Garmin StreetPilot (purchased March 07) and after a while I found that the suction didn't hold as well and the GPS started falling off the windshield on a regular basis. This beanbag mount is SO much better. While some have said it slides, I have not found that to be the case in my car (Toyota Camry). Since I travel alot and pack my StreetPilot in my carry on bag, I find the beanbag packs well and works in all the rented vehicles I've driven (so far). The only downside I see is that it is a bit large but I also recognize that that's the reason for it's good dash stability on stops and turns.

The suction cup mount that came with the Nuvii was putting my GPS device at risk, as it kept falling from the window. The friction mount holds solid just using gravity and friction. Anything other than a major crash and it will stay on the dash. I also use one on my Garmin 2820 which is a much larger device.

Our Garmin Nuvi 350 originally shipped with a suction cup device to attach to the windshield. It was difficult to use, awkward to install and worst yet kept popping off in the heat of Texas summers.
The friction mount was the perfect solution. Even on a slanted dash, it stays perfectly positioned. The friction mount makes transferring among vehicles fast and easy. The price is a great value, and the mount a tremendous improvement over the suction cup.
An Awesome Mount For The Garmin Nuvi GPS December 3, 2007
I purchased this portable friction mount for my new Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS system. I wanted something that would hold the Nuvi 660 in place, without sliding all over the dash, and it was important to me that it be easy to move between vehicles. This Garmin Portable Friction Mount is just the ticket for my needs. I have been using it for several days now and have taken corners and even had to hit the brakes hard once or twice. This mount stays put very well. I haven't had it move (that I could notice) at all during my driving adventures. The price here on Amazon is cheap enough for you to buy one for each car, truck, SUV and RV that you own. I highly recommend this item for anyone that owns or is thinking of buying a Garmin Nuvi GPS. It really is the perfect accessory for the Nuvi and you can use it with confidence, without worry of your expensive GPS flying across your dash. =o)
