Motorola H680 - Would send it back but I lost the receipt October 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought the H680, to use with my Motorola W385 cell phone, after reading the reviews but have been very disappointed. First the pros - It fits comfortably, the controls are easy to use and all callers are loud and clear. The con and the reason I'm not satisfied is that all callers tell me they can't hear me. They tell me there is no background noise but I sound as if I'm talking from the end of a long tunnel. Most times I have to call them back without the headset.
Good, but the ear connection is odd October 6, 2008 We bought 4 of these for the office, everyone likes them. the only problem is that I had trouble getting it to stay in my ear and not hurt. I got lucky though and found a bag of ear buds from a Jabra headset i had about 5 years ago. I put one of them inplace of the motorola earbud, and removed the over the ear hook and it works great.

Works great, nice and small, extremely light, no problem hearing the person I speak with and the audio quality is good. One problem is the little rubber thingie on the earpiece that goes into your ear. It comes off very easily and will be lost with no trouble at all. Motorola does NOT supply replacements! However, the good news is I like the unit better WITHOUT the little earbud that goes in the ear. The unit works just fine without it.
overpriced and flimsy September 20, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This headset (I had the silver one) is small, and comes with a fairly handy charging/carrying case. The headset is held in the case very securely by a magnet. That said, you'll definitely need the carrying case, because otherwise you run a pretty good chance of losing it, or breaking it (read on).
The over-the-ear piece is very flimsy, and I'm sure had I kept this headset for any length of time, it would have broken off. The earpiece is very large (the two different ear-tips are BOTH very large), and did not stay in/just outside of my ear at all. I constantly had to push it in and adjust in order to hear people. With this combination of large earpiece and flimsy holder, this thing fell off every few minutes. So if you have small ears, like me - I strongly advise against this headset. The over-the-ear-piece also got tangled up in my hair all the time, since it's so thin.
The volume is not loud enough. I could hear people just fine in a quiet room, at home, but as soon as I went outside I had a hard time hearing, and in the car I constantly found myself asking other people to repeat what they had just said.
The range is good, I used it about 15 feet away from my phone and it worked as well as it ever did, which isn't that great.
If "looks" are more important to you than comfort, the silver one looks pretty nice, with swirls and all, very un-businessman-like.
I returned this headset. Plantronics is my next stop.
Great product and great price!! September 19, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
So I've been using this product for a little over a week and overall I'm very happy. I have tried a couple of other blue tooth headsets and this one is the best so far for the price. The sound quality is good with a couple of static pops every now and again. Everyone I've talked to said they could hear me loud and clear on their end, which is super important and I could hear every one on my end. The battery life is supper long. I've only had to charge it twice so far. It paired up instantly with my samsung phone.
The reason why I couldn't give it 5 stars is it does take some getting use to. My ear hurt a little bit after the first day and I've decided that if I just place it on my ear gently, it's more comfortable. It does stay in my ear/on my head very well. It hasn't fallen off once or even felt like it's going to fall off. My other headset was by samsung and while it worked great, I couldn't wear it for very long. So motorola H680 is much better. The other thing I would have liked on the H680 is noise canceling, but for the price they're selling it, I can see why it was left off.
Overall, I recommend this headset to anyone who wants something stylish, and small with a super long battery life and great sound for only $40. If you need more features like noise canceling then you should probably looks somewhere else.
