Pleasantly Surprised November 1, 2008 I recently purchased this Black and Decker Air Station to keep a car tire with a slow leak properly inflated until I can get the tire fixed. After reading some of the other reviews I was skeptical about how well the Air Station would work.
Today I tried the Air Station for the first time and I couldn't be happier with the product. I set the air pressure for 30lbs., attached the hose to the tire, and turned on the machine. In just a few minutes the machine shut off automatically. I checked the tire's air pressure and it was exactly at 30lbs. It couldn't have been easier.
Sure it was a little loud, and the cords are short requiring you to use an extension cord, and the air pressure setting was difficult to set precisely. But these were minor inconveniences. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it did the job.
Basic inflator October 30, 2008 I bought this inflator after my first one made by Coleman "burned up" during use.
The design of this inflator is good and I have no complaints except for the fact that the built in PSI gauge is useless. It is very inaccurate but this is easily rectified by having a separate PSI gauge. Rather inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. It has held up through moderate use thus far.
awesome...lightweight and effective October 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
works very well on automobile tires...basically set the pressure, turn it on and it shuts off automatically. i am very happy with this unit, the cost through amazon was reasonable. very accurate...since my vette has a tire pressure read out which confirmed the setting on my inflator, after inflation. my neighbor saw it, loves it and is buying one.
Works very well October 15, 2008 I am very happy with this inflator. I especially like the auto cut-off feature that it has where once you set the desired pressure, it cuts off when that pressure is reached. Also love the lighted dial. Way to go Black and Decker!!
B&D Air Station Review October 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My new air station replaces one I bought about 15 years ago. Compared to the old one, the new one inflates much more slowly, has a harder to read gauge, is larger, and has much shorter cords. Definitely a huge step backward.
