Great tool except... October 27, 2008 Great tool except it has a serious safety issue - knife does not have a safety release and opens easily. I bought this as a rigging knife for a sailboat and pretty much had to abandon the intended purpose as having it around became a hazard rather than a safety item. Great if used otherwise though.
Be Careful October 24, 2008 this product is very cleverly designed. it's fairly light and rides nicely on its pocket clip. my only complaint is about the effort required to open the blade. if your fingers aren't correctly positioned, you risk cutting yourself. this weekend i poked the dickens out of the fleshy inside of my ring finger.
A fine tool October 23, 2008 I just got my first multi-tool, the Skeletool CX. It is a very nice piece of work. The blade is razor-sharp, and the driver bits work fine - you can use the tool open to 90 degrees and the other leg works as a lever. I haven't used the pliers for real yet. I ordered the removable pocket clip and quick-release lanyard ring as well. Right now it appears to me that they do not work with this tool at all. I just do not see how to attach them. The User's Guide is not helpful; it does not mention the Skeletool at all. Can anyone provide guidance?
Ad Advertised - great tool that fits into your pocket easily. October 15, 2008 Purchased this desiring to have a knife with a few more instruments than just the blade. This has come in quite handy over the past few months that I've owned it. Fits in hand nicely so you can obtain leverage but it also fits nicely into your pocket so its not bulky - even with casual shorts/pants.
Sleletool vs Wave October 12, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I did not regret for buying Skeletool but definately it does not compare with the Wave. See it this way if you own a Leatherman wave for more than two years and your wave still looks like brand new the maybe Skeletool is good for you. No way to take the abuse that wave can handdle but again then if you miss your wave in the office because is heavy then skeletool could be a solution.
FInaley i hate the holes on the blade ,, make cleaning dificult and all kind of jerms old food stucks in the holes.... i just love my wave .. i will sell my Skeletool sooner or later.
