I bought two of these fans to cool my DVR satellite receiver which sometimes acted up when it got warm.It has two USB ports in the back which I hooked the fans to. I placed them on the shelf behind it and it seemed to solve my problem. They are very well constructed and the speed control is great! I turned them up as high as I could without being able to hear them from my sitting position. Great product!

My LCD monitor was heating up pretty bad. the fan solved the problem! it's also very quiet.

great idea, runs very quiet, slightly high geekiness factor, but it's an actual PC fan so it's designed to run very quiet and last a long time. It has a speed control on the fan which is nice, but no on/off switch so it gets -1/2 star for that (in actual use, it's not that big of a deal) It will come in handy in the coming summer months to keep cool. Also can be used to keep a game console cool for those marathon gaming sessions.
