Great kettle till it died! June 1, 2008 This is a great kettle. Boils water fast ... great for my cups of tea! However, after two years and 1 month it died. Press the button on and the light sometimes comes on letting me know that it is going to boil and then it goes off and other times doesn't do anything! I have had other kettles, the last one (not the same brand) I had still works and it is 6 years old. So, be warned, it may die at an early age!
worked one year May 4, 2008 after one year of use we had to get replacement - push ON button and nothing happends !
Good design, BUT! April 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Hi, I owned couple of those kettles for few years and it works great. Good design, fast heating... But BE AWARE that after a year or so of everyday use it will start LEAKING on the bottom. First I thought it's just one case, but when that happened with 3 of them in the row... Now when third one starting to leak I will be looking at some other brand. I would think for that price quality should be better!
Leaks, leaks and more leaks March 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Do not buy this kettle!!!!
I've owned one of these kettles for over a year now. I think because this kettle is partly metal and partly plastic, it leaks. I thought at first it was because it was occasionally being overfilled, but that's not the problem. The leaks are caused by hard water deposits forcing the metal and plastic apart. When I clean the kettle the leaks do not disappear, but do recede.
I'm buying a new kettle.......
The hot pot for serious tea drinkers February 26, 2008 My husband and I received this as a wedding gift a little over a year ago, and it's been used at least once a day (more often 5-10 times) ever since. We're big tea fans, and it's wonderful to have a kettle that boils water in less time than it takes to wash the teapot! I'm so spoiled by it that I get impatient when boiling water on the stove for pasta dishes (a task that takes about three times as long).
