 Love the magazine May 31, 2008
I gave this subscription to my husband and he loves it....when he is done with a copy we send it off to my military son in Kosovo. As with a lot of men, my husband doesn't do a lot of reading....but he devours the articles in the Smithsonian! The magazine is packed with much interesting information....which he passes on to others, including me.

My father was stationed at the Pentagon in the 70's when I was still quite small. Some of my favorite childhood memories revolve around the exploration of the various Smithsonian buildings in Washington DC but I most especially remember the enormous Blue Whale and the dinosaurs!
Every time I pick up the newest copy of this magazine I one again experience that little thrill a child feels when confronted with the marvels of the world. It never fails to delight me and transport me to a place that's a little bit simpler. Amazon offers a fabulous price for this subscription.

There are always a great variety of subjects- well written and interesting- in every issue...my only problem is that I have subscribed and paid for this magazine twice through Amazon and have yet to receive an issue as a subscriber!

The Smithsonian is educational and in depth. Don't expect it to be your garden variety "throw away rag" - this is a keeper as you will want to come back to some stories and reread them multiple times. My only complaint is that i never received a card stating that I am a member now.

Smithsonian is a fine magazine..If you have a friend or family memeber that is incarcerated..IT IS A GREAT MAG.FOR THEM..GOOD STORIES AND EXCEPTED BY THE PRISONS
