Don't get me wrong..I love the two hard cover books, Real Simple Solutions and Real Simple: The Guide to Organized Living. They are gems. However, the magazine simply betrays it's words. As one rater stated, it seems like the reader is cajoled into buying un-needed expensive products, and my god..the magazine is cluttered with ads and inserts, plus it is very hard to turn the pages and read. I realize ads are necessary, but this is extreme, especially for a magazine that supposedly promotes a less complicated and cluttered life for it's readers.

I ordered the free issue but haven't continued my subscription. At first this magazine is very attractive with glossy paper and great photography. But I discovered the way to keep things simple is by cutting down on things, not buying extra stuff like the magazine suggests. If you want to read the articles, just go to the website, they have loads of stuff there.

REAL SIMPLE mag is just that. It provides a lot of information for the house home and family on many subjects needed to live in the budgeted world. I like this mag more then others because the information is not repeated (same story different line) like it is in other mags. I actually save the whole issue instead of taking out the pages that I would like to save. If you are a looking for a better all around mag without the excess advertising this is the mag to try.

DO NOT - order a magazine from Amazon. I ordered a magazine one month ahd 9 days ago, I have heard nothing. I had to search on the web for 20 minutes to find a way to call customer service, and they informed me that it should be delivered within the next 22 days.
I cancelled my subscription, was told that I would be refunded within 72 hours, and went to the Magazine's actual web site, requested a free issue, and it is promised to arrive within 4 weeks (sooner than my Amazon order from over a month ago!) AND they give a more competitive rate.
My boyfriend also ordered another magazine from Amazon the same day that I did and similarly has not heard a word
