Esquire should be Required July 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm unsure why I had not found out about Esquire earlier. It's a great magazine all around. From fantastic articles about things you normally wouldn't see in stuff like People, or even Time. Also included are stories about some of the best actors and icons in American entertainment. They may not be responsible for world changes, but they're important in their own respect. Much like Playboy, some of the best fiction writen can be found between the covers of Esquire. This magazine has tidbits of information to help the normal man survive in the real world. It gives tips on how to make first impressions on the most improtant people you may encounter. Overall, it's a great magazine whether you're looking for helpful hints, interesting reads, great stories, or just plain fun.
too many adds June 18, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I know these fashion mags have a lot of adds, but it seems like I flip through over 20 pages before I find anything to read. If you took the adds out, you problaby wouldn't have much more then a flyer left.
The Best Men's Magazine Out There May 31, 2008 I've been a regular reader of Esquire for just about 15 years. I'll probably be a reader for another 15. No other men's magazine compares: "GQ" might be twice as thick-full of ads, maybe an interesting article once in a while. "Men's Vogue" just doesn't have any personality that I can determine, where "Esquire" has a very definitive voice, full of character. "Details" is a whole lot of nothing-Maybe a page or two on something that might be interesting if it were developed. I'll not even mention "Maxim". Esquire's got, and has had, the most interesting writers. I consistently read it cover to cover.
A Deal at $3.00 a year! May 12, 2008 Entertaining Magazine and good waiting room material! You don't mind waiting if they have this magazine on hand.
Only for the obnoxiously vain April 28, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really hate magazines like this that have more advertisements for 800.00 shoes than they do actual articles on anything remotely interesting. I subscribed for a year but I hardly even crack the pages open when it comes in the mail now. Is anybody really as vain as the editors seem to assume that we are? I think you might like this magazine if you are a money hungry elitist who abandoned your kids in the pursuit of a bigger office and a nicer car. IF you are interseted in which 10,000 dollar watch best fits your summer wardrobe then this magazine is for you.
