awesome show February 24, 2008 This is one of the best shows on tv right now. I can't wait for the next four shows to aire in April. I am also grateful for amazon unbox so that I could download all of this last season's shows to watch while i'm waiting for the next ones.
It's been a long time February 22, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I AM AN OLD LADY, AND IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I'VE BEEN INFLUENCED BY A PRETTY FACE,BUT GREAT ACTING IS FASCINATING. ALEX O'LOUGHLIN CAN EXPRESS MORE EMOTION WITH A LOOK THAN ANY ACTOR I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS. yOU CAN CHECK HIS GROWTH IN ABILITY BY WATCHING ' THE OYSTER FARMER' WHERE HE'S NOT QUITE COOKED YET,AS JUDGE JUDY WOULD SAY TO 'THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF MARY BRYANT', WHERE HE IS BRILLIANT. MOONLIGHT IS AN ADDICTIVE SHOW. THE ANGST, SEXUAL TENSION AND HESITANCY BETWEEN MICK AND BETH AND THE HIDDEN DEPTH OF JOSEF ARE HEART RENDING.
THE OBVIOUS INTELLIGENCE OF THE WRITERS OF THE REVIEWS FOR THIS SHOW IS VERY REASSURING ...LOVING THIS SHOW DOESN'T MEAN I'VE GOTTEN SENILE
wonderful February 22, 2008 This is a well written show with an interesting plot line that keeps you wanting more. I hope there are more episodes being made!
Moonlight Rocks - I'm so addicted February 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a tech savy gal, a mother of 3 (15, 13, and 8) who has never never blogged for a show, or really cared if a program was cancelled etc. this show is different. The actors are believable and enchanting. The chemistry between the main characters Beth and Mick is not only believeable but addictive. In the early episodes alot had to be said through looks between the too, kind of a tease as to what lies underneath. It takes skill to communicate that much desire and depth of feeling but just looking into one another's eyes. Rest assured those who cant leave things to imagination. This show is just warming up. Give it a try. It rocks.
Finally! A Vampire Show That Makes Sense! February 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok, it's obvious I've outgrown the out-of-this world vampire genre like Buffy and Angel. Don't get me wrong. In my younger years, I was all about absolute fantasy-utterly-impossible shows but after awhile you tend to want a sci-fi show that has SOME roots in reality...a show with some semblance of sense. For me, Moonlight is this show. It has the drama of romance/conflict/mystery/suspense/cop shows with a flavor of supernatural/sci-fi (the vampires). There are no portals to different dimensions, demons materializing from nowhere nor does everyone have some kind of supernatural ability or special powers. It's basically the story of people, some who are vampires, trying to live their lives in an everyday (night?) setting. It's like a soap opera with some vampire in it. Never mind that the basic concept (vampire PI falls in love with human reporter) was adopted from "Forever Knight". That's where it ends. With further viewing you'll see the storyline differs greatly from "Forever Knight". And you'll see that the show is fun to watch because you'll want to see what happens between the PI and reporter...if they'll ever get together...if a vampire and human can really have a relationship..and the obstacles they face. It's a refreshing change from the extreme supernatural genre that's out there. And the soundtrack in each episode is amazing. It's sexy and dark but not dark enough to be goth.
