Absolutely Amazing Song April 2, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
EXCELLENT SONG, SURE TO BE A #1 HIT!This song has very catchy lyrics with an in your face hip hop attitude. It's a good combo of the three. You feel Madonna, but also Timbaland's beats and Justin's cut up melodies.
EAR CANDY!!! April 1, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This song is totally worth the 89 cents! I have listened to the song over and over again since I purchased it. Madonna is the ultimate diva and proves that she is still on top of her game of reinvention with this lead single! It is HOT! Gonna be big in the clubs and on the radio as well!! Way to go MADONNA!!
awesome lead single! March 30, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Madonna's "4 Minutes" from her Hard Candy album rocks! While a great departure from her last set of singles from the Confessions album, this song is right up there with Madonna's classic tunes. There's such great energy in this song with the great production (love those horns) from Timbaland and the cool vocal combo from Madonna and Justin.
I was a little apprehensive about Madonna joining forces with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, but I am totally sold on the results. As usual, Madonna's willingness to take a chance and try something new and fresh has paid off! I heard "4 Minutes" at a club in DC and everyone there ran to the dance floor to shake their stuff!
Getting ticked (and tocked) March 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Madonna/Justin Timberlake/Timbaland triumvirate decided to combine all their talents like people bringing random foodstuffs to a potluck. Someone brings macaroni and cheese, another brings spring rolls, and another brings barbecued ribs... and it doesn't quite work.
"4 Minutes" is mainly Timbaland and Timberlake... Madonna doesn't come in until later. It's all about "four minutes to save the world/ grab a boy/grab a girl." The song isn't about eco-consciousness,despite the fact Madonna performed at Wembley for Live Earth. "4 Minutes" reduces Madonna to a supporting role. There are the random intrusive horns, making it quasi-big band(???) Its redeeming quality is its rhythm. It's perfect for the dancefloor. The "tick tock tick tock" is waaay too reminiscent of Madonna's earlier "Hung Up."
"4 Minutes" is an okay piece of music, but it's not the best use of time.
Madonna Brings It! March 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Madonna is the Queen! Who ever would have thought the boy toy from the 80's would make great music 25 years later? This song rocks and a must have for everyone! She is not a generic artist that sings the same exact song over and over like others.
